Where they differ.

What a link opens. A Ramus link gives each person their own device with your app, or joins them to one running device, so you, your agent and a reviewer can be on the same screen, each with a named cursor. An Appetize build link runs the build you uploaded, and anyone with it can run it by default.6 Appetize can also put that build inside your own page with an iframe;8 Ramus has no embed.

What comes back. A person on a Ramus link can send a note with a screenshot, the device log and their recent taps, without an account. You reply on the app's page, and your coding agent can read the notes over MCP or the CLI, tell you what it found and, once you agree, fix the bug and reply. See Share a running app.

How agents connect. Appetize gives agents a command-line tool and a skill, both marked beta in its docs.9 Ramus has a CLI too, and a remote MCP server, so clients that sign in over MCP, ChatGPT included, need no shell. See Connect an agent.

How minutes are counted. Appetize's paid plans include 500 streaming minutes a month and charge $0.06 for each minute after that.2 Ramus Free and Hobby have monthly minutes; Pro has no minute limit.

What runs. Appetize offers iOS simulators and a range of Android devices and versions.13 Ramus runs one Android 17 emulator configuration, with no Play Store.

Questions.

Can Ramus replace Appetize?

For Android builds that you open in a browser and share by link, often yes. Ramus has no iOS, no embed and one Android version, so pages that embed Appetize, or iOS testing, still need Appetize or another service.

Does Ramus run iOS apps?

No. Ramus runs Android emulators only.

Will my APK run on Ramus?

If it runs on an x86_64 Android emulator, yes. Both services take an APK; convert an Android App Bundle with bundletool first.

How do the free plans compare?

Both include 30 minutes a month. Appetize allows two devices at a time and sessions of up to three minutes on its free plan. Ramus allows one device, and a session runs until 10 minutes pass without input.

Which works with coding agents?

Both have a CLI that an agent with a shell can run. Ramus also has a remote MCP server that Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and ChatGPT sign in to.
